Score 91/100 · Drink 2018-2025, Monica Larner, Wine Advocate, Aug 2018
The front label of this wine lists the name of the Pinot Noir grape in German and Italian, and I have done the same in order to properly identify the wine here. The 2015 Alto Adige Blauburgunder Pinot Nero Riserva is extremely fruity and vibrant with direct and intense aromas of red rose petal, candied cherry, spice, wet earth and dried lavender bud. This vintage presents ripe, round and robust fruit flavors. The wine is aged in barrique and botte grande and released three years after the harvest. Some 6,500 750-milliliter bottles and 460 magnums were made.
