The 2021 Fixin Les Crais, which contains a tiny amount of whole bunches, red cherries and crushed strawberry. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, and fine acidity, just missing a little mineralité and complexity on the finish, though it had only been bottled the previous week.
From a site that invariably produces supple, charming, gourmand wines, the 2021 Fixin Les Crais delivers notes of plums, berries, spices and smoke, followed by a medium to full-bodied, ample and fleshy palate. It's a lovely wine that transcends stereotypes of firm, tannic Fixin.
