Vivid gold. Powerful, spice-accented aromas of toffeed apple, peach pit, orange marmalade and honey, with mace and toasted almond nuances in the background. Fully mature today, offering pliant citrus and pit fruit flavors and notes of gingerbread and brown butter. A smoky quality carries through the long, spicy finish, which shows a hint of candied fig. This complex Champagne will be far better served with rich food than by itself.
