Score 93/100 · Drink 2019-2028, Monica Larner, Wine Advocate, May 2019

This is a dark and complete red blend from Coastal Tuscany. The 2013 Pianirossi is an elegant blend of Petit Verdot (40%), Cabernet Sauvignon (30%) and Montepulciano (30%). The wine shows bright cherry notes with tar, leather and tobacco. Its crispness and linearity make it an elegant food wine that might be a nice choice for beef stroganoff or lamb chops. It ages in French tonneaux for 16 months. Some 14,300 bottles and 250 magnums were produced.
