Score 93/100 · Drink 2001-2016, Robert Parker, Jun 2001
The sensational 1999 Cabernet Lime Cave was aged in both American and French oak, of which 30% was new, and was bottled unfiltered. Its opaque purple color is followed by an explosive bouquet of black currants, blackberries, and smoke. Full-bodied, with gorgeous density, sweet, concentrated fruit, good purity, and impeccable balance between the tannin, acidity, alcohol, and extract, it will drink well for 12-15 years.
