2019 Nicolas Maillart Les Jolivettes

The 2019 Extra Brut Jolivettes is another stellar wine in this range from Maillart. All of the exuberance of Pinot from Bouzy comes through in a creamy, layered Champagne that delivers the goods. Pear, baked apple tart, plum, white flowers and spice build into the deep, resonant finish. There's a bit of VA from the oak on the nose. Zero dosage. Disgorged: October 2023.
