Tasting notes
The 2020 Loudenne Le Château is packed with inky dark fruit, leather, tobacco, menthol, lavender and chocolate. This plush, racy Médoc should be pretty tasty right out of the gate if the château can preserve the fruit and freshness of this barrel sample.

The 2020 Loudenne has a deep purple-black color and intense notes of fresh blackcurrants, ripe black plums and boysenberries, with an undercurrent of dried Mediterranean herbs, pencil lead and wet pebbles. The medium-bodied palate takes a slight dip in the middle, delivering refreshing black fruits with a chewy texture and herbs-laced finish.
Cask sample. Classic nose, with cedar, spice and cassis and a tinge of leafiness. Chewy mid palate and moderate acidity, simple and correct and should drink young. (AC)
