Tasting notes
Softer and more open-knit than the 2018, the 2019 Reignac from Château de Reignac offers up aromas of sweet berries, cassis, flowers, smoke and gentle notes of oak. Medium to full-bodied and less over-extracted than the previous vintage, it’s lively and fleshy with a balanced palate framed by melting, fine-grained tannins. Could this be the beginning of a new style for this wine?

The 2019 Reignac has a lovely, well-defined nose of vivacious brambly red fruit plus a touch of rose petal and undergrowth. The palate is medium-bodied and classic in style, with fine tannins, crisp acidity, black fruit dusted with charcoal, and pain grillé on the finish. Excellent.
The 2019 Reignac is beautifully done. Juicy dark cherry, plum, mocha, new leather, chocolate and espresso are all kicked up. This flamboyant, racy Bordeaux Supérieur is sure to be a crowd pleaser. The 2019 is a gorgeous wine in every way.
