Score 15.5/20 · Drink 2023-2026, Jancis Robinson MW, Nov 2023
From vineyards in Neive: Currà and Fausoni. Made by rotofermenters. Fresh nose, very sweet fruit but without too much depth. Slightly pinched finish. (JR)

The 2021 Barbera d'Alba, from old vines in Currà, is a rich, heady wine, its mid-weight structure notwithstanding. Succulent dark cherry, plum, licorice, mocha and spice are all dialed up. The 2021 is very good, even if the alcohol feels a bit high.
