Score 95/100 · Drink 2022-2039, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Feb 2018

The 2014 Barolo Bussia Vigna Rocche emerges from the oldest vines within Marco Parusso's Bussia holdings and saw a very long period of post-fermentation maceration that lasted into December, with 100% stems. Rich, deep and unctuous, the 2014 has a lot going on. Succulent red cherry jam, pomegranate, orange peel, cinnamon and dried rose petals add nuance throughout, but the 2014 stands out mostly because of its textural feel and exotic beauty.
