Light bright yellow. An exotically perfumed bouquet evokes ripe orchard and tropical fruits, and a smoky mineral nuance adds urgency and lift. Silky, smooth and broad on the palate, offering juicy nectarine and pineapple flavors braced by a zesty orange pith flourish. Closes sappy and long; a touch of honeysuckle comes in late.

There are two Condrieus from winemaker Christophe Pichon. The base 2015 Condrieu offers a classic, medium to full-bodied, classy style with notes of buttered peach, tangerine, toasted bread and a hint of minerality. It’s certainly outstanding and will drink nicely for 2-3 years at a minimum.
