The 2022 Chablis Fourchaume 1er Cru has a peachy, more tropically inclined bouquet that doesn't quite have the class of its peers. The palate is sweet and candied on the entry, with moderate acidity. It feels a bit saccharine on the finish. Consumer friendly for sure, but it needs more class. Tasted blind at the BIVB tasting in Chablis.

Cask sample. Sweet, pear flavour. Seems a bit simple initially on the nose but the palate delivers genuine, and intense, Chablis character. Should mature into something very satisfying. (JR)
