Tasting notes
Still showing beautifully, the 2021 Condrieu Coteau De Vernon is medium to full-bodied and beautifully textured, with white peach and floral notes, as well as vibrant minerality and salinity. It's balanced, long, and elegant on the palate, and is a brilliant, fresher, focused, yet concentrated Condrieu that has so much to love. Drink bottles over the coming decade or so. Drink 2025-2035.

The 2021 Condrieu Coteau de Vernon is another stunning wine from the Vernay family. Even though roughly 80% of the grapes were lost due to severe frosts, they managed to produce a tiny quantity of this magnificent Condrieu. Medium- to full-bodied, the 2021 unfurls with intense apricot, honeysuckle, white peach, lemon peel, cedar, honey and banana. On first contact with the palate, the 2021 is quite subtle. After a few moments, mouthwatering flavor complexity develops into a Condrieu of remarkable verticality. Ginger nuances linger on a sapid finish that goes on for over a minute. This is outstanding, but only 2,000 bottles were filled.
About the producer

A legendary name, Domaine Georges Vernay crafts some of the finest whites in the world, having championed Condrieu when it was on the brink of extinction. The estate is best known for its single-site Coteau de Vernon Condrieu and is now in the hands of the third and fourth generation of the family.
