Tasting notes
The Francesco Rinaldi & Figli 2020 Barolo is on the ripe side of the spectrum with dark and sticky fruit. You sense the elegance of Nebbiolo buried within, but it is amply padded by soft raspberry and ripe cherry fruit. The wine ends with a 15% alcohol content and shows good intensity. Fruit is sourced from across Barolo, La Morra and Castiglione Falletto. Production is 20,000 bottles.

Rinaldi’s 2020 Barolo is a fine choice for drinking now and over the next handful of years. Deep and quite potent, the 2020 offers tons of depth, complemented by hints of tobacco, worn-in leather, dried cherry and crushed autumn leaves that argue for near- and medium-term drinking. This will make for a terrific restaurant Barolo.
