Score 92/100 · Drink 2023-2038, Neal Martin, Sep 2022
The 2020 Chablis Vaucoupin 1er Cru, aged for 12 months in stainless steel, has a delightful bouquet, very precise and focused with subtle lemon thyme, granite and gunflint scents that unfurl in the glass. The palate is well-defined, quite saline on the entry and unlike some of its peers, there is more depth and grip on the finish. This is a well-crafted Vaucoupin that should age well in bottle. Tasted blind at the BIVB tasting in Chablis.
