Tasting notes
Seductively ripe on the nose – it already draws you in. Clean and muscular on the end but very confident and well composed. (JR)

From the cooler 2017 vintage, this Grèves is cool, precise and leafy, with crisp cranberry and redcurrant fruit on the palate. Plenty of acidity and fine tannin suggest this has good ageing potential; a structured, elegant Beaune premier cru. Coming from the Mont Battois hill overlooking Beaune, this 2ha plot lies in the heart of the richest, most structured part of the Beaune vineyard. Gravel and clay soils combine with a high proportion of iron oxide.
