Score 88/100 · Drink 2018-2028, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Oct 2017

Tasted blind at the Burgfest 2014 tasting, the 2014 Corton Grand Cru from Château de Meursault felt rather muddled and simplistic on the nose, with a puff of red fruit but little in the way of focus and harmony. The palate is medium-bodied with light tannin and simple redcurrant and strawberry fruit leading to a chewy, not unpleasant but slightly ordinary finish. This seemed to be aiming higher when in barrel; here, it is adequate but lacking the extra spark. Tasted September 2017.
