The second wine of Château Le Gay, the 2019 Manoir De Gay is a plump, medium to full-bodied, pleasure-bent Pomerol offering some classic Merlot darker cherry fruits as well as tobacco and spice notes. It’s a delicious, impeccably made Pomerol to drink over the coming 8-10 years.

Delivering discreetly high-toned aromas of plums, kirsch and toasty new oak, the 2019 Manoir de Gay is medium to full-bodied, ripe and extracted, with chewy tannins and moderate concentration. It's the second wine of Le Gay.
The 2019 Manoir de Gay has a well-defined bouquet of red cherries, raspberry coulis and touches of brown spice. The palate is medium-bodied, with lightly spiced red fruit on the entry that merges with black-pepper-laced dark berry fruit on the nicely structured finish. A fine Deuxième Vin.
About the producer
There’s been lots of change at Ch. le Gay since the Parent family arrived in 2002 – with vineyards replanted, the cellars renovated and the winemaking adjusted. No surprise, perhaps, that quality is now higher than ever.
