Score 90/100 · Drink 2025-2033, Neal Martin, Aug 2024
The 2023 Ringmuur is pure Cinsault from a single vineyard planted in the 1960s, raised in concrete vat. Perfumed and floral on the nose, wild strawberry commingles with pressed rose petals and pastille tones from the small proportion of carbonic maceration. The palate is medium-bodied with a smooth texture, tart red cherry fruit dovetailing into a more mineral-driven, quite strict finish. Give it a year in bottle.
