Tasting notes
The 2018 Barbaresco Rabajà is the most complete of the 2018s Barbarescos at Bruno Rocca. It offers gorgeous depth, naturally in the understated style of the year. Lavender, spice, menthol and pine accents lend aromatic nuance throughout. The Rabajà is on the lighter side of things, as many wines are in 2018, and yet all the elements are nicely integrated.

Barbaresco. Tasted blind. Just mid ruby with orange tinges. Ripe cherry with savoury, leathery notes and minerally, chalky hints. Ripe, intense yet not heavy and still a little embryonic. Fine chewy tannins and a sense of generous fruit on the finish. (WS)
Pale brick. Intense but lifted nose of leaf mould. Big impact on the nose and really muscular tannins on the palate. A baby! But with great potential. (JR)
