Tasting notes
Massolino's 2018 Barbera d'Alba is soft, pliant and wonderfully open, making it a terrific choice for drinking now and over the next handful of years. Sweet red cherry, plum, licorice, spice and cedar meld together nicely in this supple, racy Barbera from Massolino. Drink it soon.

Lots of raspberry cheesecake, frozen strawberries and ripe stems on this Barbera, intended for early drinking. Round and crunchy with fine tannins and lots of fruit. Straight-up, but attractive. Drink now.
Massolino's 2018 Barbera d'Alba is an easy-drinking expression, with bright acidity and crunchy, dark fruit flavors. This wine is made in stainless steel only, following a classic, non-interventionist approach, with simple pump-overs during fermentation for up to 15 days, depending on the vintage. After it is cold stabilized, it is then put into the bottle for a short period, just to relax a bit more than anything else. It's a simple, fresh Barbera that's a good match for prosciutto and cold cuts.
