Score 87/100 · Drink 2027-2037, Stephan Reinhardt, Wine Advocate, Dec 2022
Buhl's 2020 Forster Ungeheuer GG shows clear indications of selected yeast and overripe fruit aromas on the nose but little precision and terroir expression. It is juicy, elegant and fine on the palate yet with little energy, and it has distinct raisin notes and alcohol on the slightly bitter and short but loud finish. 12.5% stated alcohol. Tasted in Wiesbaden, August 2022.

On the nose Von Buhl’s Ungeheuer woos the olfactory receptacles with the ripe aromatics of yellow fruit. A hint of almond sets a nutty accent. On the palate the juicy fruit of apple and peach meets up with notes of zesty citrus to create a truly animating taste experience. (MS)
