Score 93/100 · Drink 2026-2047, Stephan Reinhardt, Wine Advocate, Dec 2022
Jamek's 2021 Ried Klaus Riesling Smaragd starts with a clear, dense and aromatic nose with very ripe, concentrated, homogeneously ripe, bright fruit. Persistently powerful and firmly structured on the palate, this is a spicy, savory Smaragd from the Klaus that develops good length, but it still needs time. Tasted at Schloss Dürnstein, Wachau, in September 2022.

Weissenkirchen. Savoury and herbal aromas, windfall apples. Supple palate of spice and structure, overlaid with juicy layers of orange and apricot. Complex and focused with a lingering zesty finish. Still showing a bit of baby fat. (PS)
