Score 93/100 · Drink 2021-2028, Rebecca Gibb MW, Vinous, Mar 2021
A midweight, refined style hailing from a steep five-hectare site at the northern reaches of the Waipara Valley This is wild-fermented, unfined and unfiltered, as are all the estate’s Pinots. It is filled with fragrances of wild herbs such as thyme, caraway and pine, plus hints of woodsmoke and damson skin. It is finely textured with chalky tannins that veil the palate, providing lovely sinew in combination with a waterfall of clean acidity on the medium-length finish.
