The 2021 Pinot Noir Nysa Vineyard is spicy and perfumed with notes of wild strawberries, rose petals and star anise. Silky upon entry, a wiry, sultry character builds as saline minerals and tart wild berries are excited by nervous acidity. It finishes with a cheek-puckering cranberry concentration and fine-grained tannins while tapering off long and youthfully tense.
A bright ruby, the 2021 Pinot Noir Nysa Vineyard is ripe with pure fruit of red cherry liqueur, candied roses, anise, and fresh pine. The palate takes on a darker mineral-tinged profile, with ripe tannins and notes of black tea adding a grounding sensibility, while it retains a refined feel in its earthier profile. Well-balanced and long on the palate, it will benefit from another couple of years in bottle to develop into its more savory tones of porcini and umami richness. Drink 2025-2040.
