Tasting notes
(true Charmes): Medium red. Reticent, perfumed scents of red raspberry and rose petal. Denser and sweeter than the Vosne Suchots if not quite as precise and penetrating in the early going. But the wine's subtle floral quality conveys a strong impression of energy and lift. Serious, firmly tannic grand cru with real class.

Light nose and relatively fluid. Not obviously grand cru quality. But fruitier than most of this producer’s 2013s. Fresh. (JR)
(true Charmes): Medium red. Aromas of red cherry and iron are lifted by spices and flowers. Sweet, intense and energetic; a very sappy Charmes with exotic hints of lemon and blood orange. Shows terrific vivacity and lift on the back end. But hold this for at least a few years to give the edgy tannins a chance to integrate more fully.
