2010 Echezeaux En Orveaux

The 2010 Echezeaux Grand Cru has a ripe raspberry jam, marmalade and fig-scented bouquet that is well-defined and powerful. The palate is medium-bodied with firm and ripe tannins on the entry. Dense, slightly candied ripe, black fruit that leads to a structured blood-orange-infused finish that will need another five years. Perhaps a little rustic at the moment, this remains a commendable wine, if lacking a little excitement. Drink 2016-2028.
