The 2017 Saint-Véran exhibits aromas of citrus oil, crisp green apple, almond paste and white flowers, followed by a medium to full-bodied, satiny and incisive palate, its charming core of fruit tempered by racy acids, and concluding with a mineral finish.

They’ve had this vineyard since 2014. Certified organic before they bought it. He always wanted some Pouilly-Fuissé and this came with it. Mostly fermented in foudres to retain the fruit. Bottled. A delicate cedary note. Tangy and green fruited. A touch smoky on the nose but explodes with ripe creamy citrus on the palate. Bags of fruit but with the freshness to balance. Persistent too. (JH)
