Tasting notes
Bright yellow. Citrus fruits and flowers on the leesy nose. In a floral, elegant style for Chassagne-side Batard, with bright acidity giving lift and precision to the middle palate. In a cooler style, not opulent but suave in texture. This polite, classy wine finishes with lovely length. Boillot prefers the 2014 version but that wine is more phenolic today.

Pale, hazy yellow. Lemon zest, pear and flowers on the nose and palate. At once tactile and precise, offering terrific energy and cut and conveying a strong impression of dry extract. Finishes saline and long, with lovely lingering perfume and sap. These 2013s finished with around four grams per liter of acidity, noted Boillot, which is higher than the 2012s but lower than the 2010s.
