Offering up aromas of apple, pear and blanched almonds, the 2018 Bourgogne Blanc is medium to full-bodied, racy and incisive, with fine depth and tension. Even in this warm, sunny vintage it has a finished pH of less than three.

The 2018 Bourgogne Blanc was not the total blend when I tasted it at the domaine, since a couple of barrels had not finished their malolactic (there will be seven barrels in total). It has an attractive nose with notes of lemon curd, white flowers and just a hint of nutmeg, quite Meursault-like in style. The well-balanced palate is slightly buttery on the opening. Quite generous and slightly honeyed in the mouth, with touches of lime cordial and tangerine toward the finish. Enjoy this as soon as it is bottled.
