Violets, blue fruits, and some darker, earthy notes all emerge from the 2021 Château Moulin Haut-Laroque, a medium-bodied, elegant, nicely textured Fronsac that's going to offer plenty of charm and character. The Fronsac region did well in the vintage, and this is another wine worth keeping an eye on.
The 2021 Moulin Haut-Laroque has a rather one-dimensional nose, pleasant but missing real personality. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red fruit, not a concentration Fronsac, though there is decent freshness on the finish. Solid, but lacks finesse.
The roses, black raspberries, licorice and espresso work well here with the medium-bodied, fresh, bright, elegantly textured, crisp palate. Drink from 2023-2032.
