2020 Bourgueil Clos Nouveau

Crafted from vines planted on calcareous soils with a layer of clay, the 2020 Bourgueil Clos Nouveau offers up a dense, deep bouquet of dark wild berries, oak, spices, cedar, pepper and acacia. Medium to full-bodied, concentrated and dense, deep and powerful, it’s marked by oaky notes and structured tannins, leading to an oak-driven finish. Unfortunately, its robust expression is overshadowed by the pronounced woody accents, which is a real detriment to its overall character.
