The 2016 Les Ormes Sorbet has an attractive bouquet with blackberry and light truffle aromas, well defined with a fine mineral component coming through. The palate is medium-bodied with grippy tannin, finely tuned red and black fruit laced with cedar and black pepper towards the refined finish. Lovely! Tasted at the Cru Bourgeois tasting in London.

65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot. Colour of black cherries. Ripe and oaky on the nose. Rich, firm and full in the mouth but all in harmony. Chewy at the moment but has the balance to become more elegant. (JH)

65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot. 5% Petit Verdot. Dark crimson. Intense, minerally nose that is a long way from fruitiness but is quite arresting. Sweet palate entry with lots of rather glossy Cabernet in evidence. Really very polished. Great balance. Neat, fresh, appetising. Impressively long. Chapeau! (JR)
