Tasting notes
Medium red. Pungent aromas of raspberry, cranberry, blood orange and mint turned slightly high-toned and exotic with air. Juicy and a bit herbal in the mouth, with flavors of cranberry and pomegranate supported by pronounced saline minerality. Delivers a strong overall impression of small wild red fruits. "Two thousand thirteen was a bit like 2008 but with less sun and more rain at the end, "noted Laurent Lignier.

Light and fresh with lots of austerity on the end. Not that much fruit in evidence. (JR)
The 2013 Morey Saint Denis Très Girard, which comes from 0.5-hectare of purchased fruit (although Laurent Lignier does the vineyard work and chooses the date of harvest), has a slightly muted bouquet at the moment. The palate is balanced with a pleasing, quite fleshy entry, well-judged acidity and a conservative blackcurrant and spice-tinged finish. Fine.
