The 2019 Kirchberg GG is super ripe but beautifully pure, refined and stony on the excitingly precise and stimulatingly flinty nose. Round, piquant and fresh on the crystalline palate, with frisky acidity and a good finish, this is an excellent, medium-weight Kirchberg with the complexity and length of a 1er cru. Tasted from the bottle in October 2020.

AP number 14 20. This already actually feels heavy in the glass. Notably pungent on the nose. Something of an acquired taste (warm stones not fruit). There's a hint of coconut and lime sherbet here – a candy store? (JR)
Slight funk from sur-lie maturation, but the fresh-pineapple and herbal aromas leap from the glass. This medium-to full-bodied wine is still a bit tight, but has great drive with a piquancy at the very mineral finish that reminds me jalapenos. From organically grown grapes with Fair’n Green certification. Drink or hold. Screw cap.
