Score 87-89/100 · Drink 2023-2032, Neal Martin, Dec 2020

The 2019 Gevrey-Chambertin Etelois, raised in 25% new oak, has more delineation on the nose compared to the Vieilles Vignes, light pressed flower aromas emerging with aeration; pretty rather than intense. The medium-bodied palate delivers firm, slightly dry tannins and good grip. This is a masculine Gevrey-Chambertin, but it does not exhibit the refinement of some of its peers.
