Score 93/100 · Drink 2017-2028, Monica Larner, Wine Advocate, Aug 2016

The 2011 Brunello di Montalcino Fornace exudes an incredibly smooth and silky texture that caresses all the senses. The wine slowly reveals aromas of cassis, dried cherry, licorice and balsam herb that add to the purity and the intensity of the bouquet. The finish is soft and lively with long lasting freshness and fruit integrity.

Score 87/100 · Drink 2016-2023, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Feb 2016

The 2011 Brunello di Montalcino Fornace emerges from a high-altitude site in Castelnuovo. Like all of the Ragnaie 2011s, the Fornace presents aromas of dried fruits, wilted flowers and worn-in leather, with little overall freshness.
