Monopole. Tank sample. Lovely Meursault mealy/creamy aroma, well-judged oak. On the palate too, that slightly chewy depth balanced by crisp acidity. Long, tangy finish. (JH)

(from old vines at the same altitude as Meursault's strip of premier crus; finished its malolactic fermentation in April): Pale, bright yellow. Aromas of yellow peach, citrus fruits and wild herbs. Fresh, dry and firm but with a lovely creaminess of texture to its flavors of stone and soft citrus fruits complicated by soil tones. A nicely balanced, fairly deep village wine with good mineral support and a fresh, persistent finish.
