Score 89/100 · Drink 2023-2028, Neal Martin, May 2022

The 2020 Bourgogne Blanc, which comes from vines located in Chassagne, had been bottled at the end January 2022, aged in used barrels. There is plenty of fruit on the nose here: passion fruit and yellow plum, just a touch of orange zest. The palate is well balanced with fine acidity, quite intense with orange rind and light spicy notes on the finish. A regional white that begs the question: just how good are the Premier Crus!

From holdings in Chassagne-Montrachet, the 2020 Bourgogne Blanc offers up aromas of honeyed orchard fruit, pear and praline. Medium to full-bodied, ample and charming, with a sun-kissed core of fruit that's girdled by bright acids and chalky structure, it will drink well on release.
