2021 Pouilly Fuisse

The 2021 Pouilly-Fuissé includes fruit that usually goes into the Vieilles Vignes this year, 50% from Vergisson, 25% Fuissé and 25% Chaintré. The nose offers well-defined and pretty orange pith, pear and nectarine scents. The palate is well balanced with a waxy textured opening, moderate depth, with a touch of orange rind towards the finish. I would have liked a little more persistence, but this will give six to eight years of drinking pleasure.
