Pale, light yellow. Reticent, rather austere aromas of apple, ginger and earth. Sweet, tactile lemon, apple and rocky mineral flavors show sound acidity and freshness for the year. Finishes saline and tight, with a slightly phenolic dusty quality calling for a few years of patience.

(from a crop level under 20 hectoliters per hectare, according to Dancer; 55-year-old vines): Tangy orange zest dominates the nose. Rich, sweet and dense, but energized by its calcaire soil. The fresh, persistent finish shows lovely rocky, floral lift.
