Opaque ruby. Lively, mineral-tinged cherry and blackberry scents are brightened and lifted by suggestions of cracked pepper and pungent flowers. Silky and penetrating on the palate, offering juicy, dark berry, violet pastille flavors and hints of licorice and salty olive. Lively, focused and appealingly sweet on the energetic finish, which features sneaky tannins and a resonating florality. (made with 50% whole clusters)

Cask sample. Tasted blind. Sappy green herbal notes intermingling with ripe black fruit and peppery spice. A great example of the whole-bunch style, where the vegetal element complements the dark fruit, giving contrast and lift. (RH)
