Score 93/100 · Drink 2018-2028, Jeb Dunnuck, Mar 2018

Made from the oldest vines of the estate and higher elevation sites, the 2007 Probus Malbec is aged 12 months in one-third new French oak. Its deep ruby/purple color is followed by a ripe, sexy, impressive wine that offers terrific notes of black raspberry and cassis, classy oak, tobacco, and spice. With medium to full-bodied richness, a supple, seamless texture, sweet tannin, and a great finish, it's a smoking good Cahors to enjoy over the coming decade or more.
