Tasting notes
The 2010 Lamarque has an attractive bouquet with brambly red fruit laced with cedar and tobacco, well defined and focused. The palate is medium-bodied with fine grain tannins, quite graphite in style with a slightly dry, yet still attractive finish. Fine. Tasted blind at Farr Vintners 10-Year On Bordeaux horizontal.

Deep garnet colored, the 2010 Lamarque dishes up notes of sweaty leather, baked plums and warm blackberries with hints of dried sage and pencil lead. Medium to full-bodied, the palate has a good amount of dried berries and earthy flavors with a chewy texture and herb-laced finish.
Tasted blind. Browny garnet. Mature and mushroomy, leathery, meaty. Chewy. Sour aftertaste in a slightly tough structure. (JH)
