The stunning, dark plum/ruby-colored, deep, full-bodied 1998 Barbaresco Bric Turot is layered with smoky black fruit, graphite, new saddle leather, and vanilla aromas. Rich and concentrated, with sweet tannin, it will be at its finest between 2003-2015. A Leonardo Locascio Selection, Winebow, Hohokus, NJ; tel. (201) 445-0620

Very good dark red. Floral aromas of cassis, licorice, menthol, dark chocolate and roasted nuts. Lush, deep and harmonious; ripe and perfumed in the mouth. A very ripe, silky wine that nonetheless boasts lovely vinosity. Finishes quite long, with big, chewy tannins.
