Nutty plus wet stones. Then rather sweet fruit. More weight than the village wine but arguably less precision. (JR)

(these vines were replanted with a sélection massalle in 2000): Pale green color. High-pitched aromas of lime, lemon and white pepper, plus a whiff of spicy oak. Juicy, ripe and nicely concentrated, with creamy pear fruit nicely framed by limey acidity. Rich for a wine from younger vines. Carillon carries out a green harvest here and produced a very reasonable 35 hectoliters per hectare in 2014.
