Score 85/100 · Drink 1992-1996, Robert Parker, Apr 1992
The 1989 is not far behind the 1982. Deep ruby/purple, with an obvious yet enticing bouquet of sweet, plump blackberries, this lush, deceptively easy, generously endowed wine goes down the throat far too easily for its 13% plus alcohol content. It will not be long-lived. Anticipated maturity: Now-1996. Tasted four times. Consistent notes.
