Score 93+/100 · Drink 2018-2025, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Oct 2016
The 2013 Vino Nobile di Montepulciano hits the palate with serious intensity and overall depth. Succulent red cherry, plum, smoke, licorice, herb, tobacco and incense meld together in a pliant, highly expressive Vino Nobile that hits all the right notes. Firm tannins and bright acidity suggest the 2013 will drink well for a number of years. The 2013 is a total knock-out.

Just released. Light garnet. Beautifully fragrant. Silky, elegant and still has a grip to the tannins but it is more elegant than the 2013, more ready, it seems. (JH)
