Tasting notes
70% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon. Excellent fragrance – well-delineated floral perfume, savoury spice and dark fruit. Exemplary bordeaux – so user-friendly and yet with sophistication and complexity. Superb. (RH)

The basic cuvée, the 2012 generic Bordeaux is a blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. This wine is a major overachiever, with supple tannins, lots of sweet black cherry and blackcurrant fruit, an enticing texture, medium body, and a complete mouthfeel. This is a juicy consumer’s treasure that can be drunk now or cellared over 3-4 years. This wine delivers significant pleasure and quality for its humble price.
Deep dark cherry. Creamy, vanilla-laced cherry fruit. Lots of sweet cherry on the palate too. Generous and surprisingly luscious. Slight heat on the finish. (JH)
