Score 91/100 · Drink 2015-2022, Monica Larner, Wine Advocate, Sep 2015

The 2010 Pianirossi is Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, Cabernet and Petit Verdot aged in French oak for 15 months. This is a full intensity Tuscan blend that shows thickness, dark extraction and heavy red fruit aromas. Crushed black pepper, leather and wet terra-cotta also fit into this unique aromatic equation. The wine presents a full bodied style with sweet cherry and tangy Indian spice on the close.
